Relationship MarketingRelationship marketing is any form of marketing that recognizes the important of relationships - both in the early stages of acquiring and converting leads and in the long term for maximizing customer value.

The importance of relationships is being increasingly embedded in online technologies. A prime example is that search results in Google are influenced by any relationships that Google can detect between the searcher and the authors of the various content items found by the search.

Relationship marketing makes use of content marketing and social media marketing as part of a broader strategy - usually inbound marketing / permission marketing.
